Solvability of a third-order two-point boundary value problem
A new comparison theorem is proved and then used to investigate the solvability of a third-order two-point boundary value problem u′′′(t) + f(t, u(t), u′(t), u′′(t))) = 0, u(0) = u′(2π) = 0, u′′(0) = u′′(2π). Some existence results are established for this problem via upper and lower solutions method and fixed point theory. 2000MR Subject Classification: 34B15, 34C05
متن کاملSolvability for a System of Nonlinear Fractional Higher–order Three–point Boundary Value Problem
Existence of eigenvalues yielding single and multiple positive solutions for a system of higher order fractional differential equations along with boundary conditions is established. The results are obtained by the use of a Guo-Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem in cones.
متن کاملHigher order multi-point fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions
In this paper, we concerned with positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions. We establish the criteria for the existence of at least one, two and three positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions by using a result from the theory of fixed...

and Applied Analysis 3 for 0 ≤ i ≤ n − 1, where α > 0 and β > 1 are given constants. On the one hand, the author established criteria for the existence of at least one solution and of at least one positive solution for the BVP 1.6 by using the Schauder fixed point theorem and Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem, respectively. On the other hand, the author investigated the existence of multiple p...
متن کاملSolvability of a Class of Two-point Boundary Value Problems for Nonlinear Second-order Difference Equations
where a, b, A,B ∈ R, n ≥ 2 is an integer and f is a continuous, scalar-valued function. In recent years there have been many papers devoted to the solvability of twopoint boundary value problems for second-order or higher-order difference equations. We refer the reader to the textbooks [1,2,3], the papers [6,7] and the references therein. In [4] the following discrete boundary value problem (BV...
